Fuel tank inerting system Airbus 320 family

(ATA-47) The Bleed Air From engine sent to FTIS system and seperates the nitrogen and oxygen , where nitrogen is sent to centre Tank and oxygen dumps by overboard in aircraft. This is to reduce the oxygen content in centre tank to avoid any type of fire accident and burst.

The fuel tank inerting system includes two sub systems i.e 1) CSAS - CONDITIONED SERVICE AIR SYSTEM 2) IGGS- INERT GAS GENERATION SYSTEM

CSAS takes the air from engine of aircraft and filters the air to segregate any dust decreases the temp of air and further sent to IGGS system .

IGGS system seperates the oxygen and nitrogen and sent controllerd amount of nitrogen into the Centre fuel tank through different valves. The seperated oxygen is dumped overboard
